Hi there!

My name is Ryan, welcome to my site.

About Me

I’m a mechanical engineer based in Chicago, Illinois with experience designing, refurbishing, and commissioning electromechanical equipment. I’m interested in all aspects of machine design and have professional experience with structural, hydraulic, and electrical engineering for tunneling equipment and rolling stock.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy being active in nature, exploring new places, and building/fixing things. I’m an active volunteer with the Cook County Forest Preserves and it’s satisfying to contribute to the woods and trails that I bike and run in. I rounded up some of my favorite personal building projects, check them out below.

Projects

Apart from my professional experience, I enjoy taking on personal engineering projects. I use these projects as a challenge to practice efficient design and build with a high attention to detail.

My favorite project areas are wood working, machining, electronics, home repair, and small crafts. Below are a few of my projects with photos, documentation, and design details included.
